Evoca UK Announces Duncan Odgers’ Appointment as Sales Director

Hot on the heels of Andrew Barrow’s elevation to the role of MD, Evoca UK has announced a further senior appointment –  and it’s another internal promotion.

Duncan Odgers joined Evoca’s commercial team just short of two years ago and in that role, he was responsible both for sales within the M25 region and for the management of several national accounts. He is now tasked with stepping into Andrew Barrow’s shoes as the company’s new Sales Director.

Duncan says that customers can expect continuity under his management:  ‘It’s really just about keeping driving forward’, he said. ‘Certainly, within the first few months I’ll be carrying on where Andrew left off, making sure our highly motivated and talented team continues to deliver.

Duncan Odgers‘It is a great team of people who are all very experienced and are all very good at what they do, so making sure that they’ve got the support they need, when they need it, is a central part of the job. I’m taking over a team of winners.  I’ve always believed that coaching and mentoring is very important. I have experience of  leading teams and coaching and mentoring salespeople from earlier in my career’ – (Duncan was formerly with Refreshment Systems and Pelican Rouge) –  ‘and although that was a long time ago, it’s going to come in very handy going forward.’

‘I’m taking over a team of winners.’

His new job won’t involve relocating to the West Midlands. Instead, the Cornish-born former rugby player will continue to reside in Hampshire, visiting Kingswinford as and when necessary. ‘I’m well-positioned to conduct my daily activities where I am, so there’s no real requirement to move when it’s so easy, these days, to stay in control from a distance’, he said.

‘Duncan brought such a vast amount of knowledge and expertise with him when he joined Evoca that we believed from the beginning he’d prove to be a fantastic addition to our team’, MD Andrew Barrow said. ‘Time has proved us right and I’m delighted to have him take on this demanding role for us.’
