Refreshment Systems, the long-established, Bradford-based vending operator, has won Collaboration of the Year at The Vendies Awards in respect of its partnership with Oakhouse Foods. The company also clinched a ‘highly commended’ accolade in the category of ‘Best Vending Project’ for its Vendsmart technology.
The Collaboration of the Year award recognises the partnership between Refreshment Systems and Oakhouse Foods, which set out to provide convenient 24/7 access to hot, nutritious meals through innovative vending technology – and achieved that aim.
The success demonstrates how vending operators can move beyond traditional snacks and drinks by offering practical, reliable food solutions for workplaces, healthcare sites, education settings and other busy locations.
‘We’re absolutely thrilled to have won Collaboration of the Year for our partnership with Oakhouse Foods’, Steve May, Refreshment Systems’ MD said. ‘This project is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when two organisations work together with a shared purpose.
‘Innovation is a key part of what we do at RSL.’
‘We’re also incredibly proud to have been highly commended in the Best Vending Project category for our Vendsmart technology. Innovation is a key part of what we do at RSL and this recognition means a great deal to the whole team.’
Jacqueline Dillon, Head of Network Operations & Sales at Oakhouse Foods said, ‘we’re so happy to be recognised with this award. It reflects the determination and collaborative spirit of everyone involved in this project with our highly valued partner RSL. Their support and expertise has been instrumental throughout. Together, we’ve created something that’s truly impactful, which is a fantastic tribute to that collective effort.’
Winding up, Steve had nothing but praise for the event: ‘It was fantastic to meet up at the awards with so many vending companies from across the UK to celebrate the brilliant work that’s happening throughout the industry’, he said.
