AVA CEO David Llewellyn has been in Rimini this week on duty at Venditalia, which ends today, writes Jed Fraser.
Why? Because Venditalia is an ideal forum within which the AVA can do what it does best: lobbying, networking; knowledge-sharing, and raising industry standards on a European stage, on behalf of its UK members.
This year’s edition proved once more that when it comes to Vending Machines, Automated Retail Technology; Payment Systems, Ingredients & Consumables; Operational innovations – and so much more – Venditalia is Europe’s leading event.

‘Attending and engaging with Venditalia helps ensure the UK industry stays aligned with global innovation, which supports the AVA’s role as our country’s authoritative voice for automated retail’ David said. ‘For us, Venditalia is not just a trade show — it’s a strategic touchpoint that helps us to keep UK members competitive, strengthen the UK’s voice in global vending and bring back insights that shape policy, standards, and training. It’s also the ideal setting for sharing common issues and best practice with other national associations, thereby building partnerships that benefit the entire UK automated retail sector.’
It might help to think of David as our ambassador – and this week specifically, ‘our man in Italy’.
That’s why we’re very pleased to announce that David has kindly agreed, following this year’s Venditalia, to provide PV readers with even more insight and background, covering the role of the AVA, the values of membership and the core challenges ahead.
We’ll let you know the details well in advance of publication!
