WHA, The Water Dispenser & Hydration Association, has reaffirmed its commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety and service in the water dispenser industry, in a move that highlights once again the importance of choosing a WHA member when when you’re considering a new supplier.

As part of WHA’s ongoing standards programme, membership can only be maintained by organisations that meet the association’s requirements.

The WHA has also advised interested parties that Culligan has resigned its membership.

‘WHA membership is a clear mark of assurance’, said Matt Stimpson, Chairman.  ‘Members are audited under the WHA programme and to obtain or maintain their membership, they’re required to meet defined standards which are designed to protect both customers and end users. For bottling plants, these audits are conducted by independent third parties; whereas for distributors, audits are carried out by appointed auditors we ourselves appoint, under a defined methodology. The WHA is committed to safeguarding standards for the benefit of customers, end users and the wider industry. Our responsibility is to ensure that our members consistently meet these standards, so customers can have complete confidence in the quality and safety of their service.’

WHA urges procurement teams and end users to check that their supplier is a WHA member as a matter of course, to ensure confidence and compliance.
