AVEX13: A stellar seminar line-up is unveiled

BY JESSICA SNEDDON

If you are planning to visit AVEX13, you can look forward to a fantastic seminar line-up this year. AVEX, the UK’s largest vending and water industry trade show, is honoured to welcome some of the leading figures in the industry to share their knowledge and expertise with visitors.

The FM Vending Show
The FMA Seminar – Tuesday 11 June, 13.30 – 15.30
The Facilities Management sessions will play an integral part in the launch of the new FM Vending Show. This “show within a show” will have a specific focus on providing advice for professionals on how to increase profits and the FMA Seminar will be essential for anyone interested in this market.

Jonathan Hilder CEO of the AVA will introduce the seminar and will be followed by a market overview from Chris Hoar CEO of the FMA, who will also deliver a talk entitled “What is FM?” The Keynote Address will be given by Steve Davies MD of Compass FM, before a Discussion Panel with Chris Hoar, Steve Davies and another member of the FMA. There will then be a Q and A session and afterwards the opportunity to network.

Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the market opportunities available within the FM sector and will also receive a FREE FM Knowledge Pack, containing various market reports which are being made available exclusively to those who register and attend.

Being Healthy Conference – Wednesday 12 June, 10.30 – 13.00
24Vend, the healthy vending experts, will be playing host to an impressive range of speakers at its Being Healthy Conference. The quality of speakers reflects the significant growth there has been in the demand for healthy products in vending and the excellent opportunities there are for this sector going forwards.

The key note speaker is Aaron Prout, Founder and MD of The School Drinks Company. The School Drinks Company is an excellent example of what success looks like in healthy vending and Aaron will be highlighting that healthy eating is a trend that is here to stay. He will also be explaining why he believes that it is crucial that vending is part of the solution and not the problem.

Other speakers include both vending operators and food manufacturers from across the UK and from America. Jim English from the US company Sprout Retail will be explaining how vending is now integrated into large wellness initiatives in the States – a real indication of how the vending landscape is changing there.

Also speaking will be Liz Morris from Working Families, the UK’s leading work-life balance organisation, Lee Holdstock, Trade Relations Manager at the Soil Association, Tracey Graham from Abercromby Vending and Tom Lewington from It’s Only Natural.

Delegates can enjoy sampling a range of healthy new products across snack and beverage categories and the ticket price includes a light and healthy networking lunch.
