PICTURED: Simon Cowell, disguised as Vendman’s Rob Little.
We’ve had invitations to a wedding and the chance of winning a luxury week-end away, but Vendman’s AVEX invite tops the lot.
Vendman is taking advantage of AVEX to celebrate its’ 20th anniversary, and persons unknown have taken it upon themselves to write a song in honour of the occasion.
PV has had a sneak preview.
It seems to have been sung by elderly people, after drink has been taken.
The song is called ‘Vendman’s Turning Twenty’ and is credited to a group called ‘Miles Too-Many & The Wasted Journeys’. Try as we might, we could find no reference on the Internet, or, indeed, anywhere, to the group. We spoke to Rob and he told us ‘I can honestly say I knew absolutely nothing about this until it dropped into my In-Box. It seems to have been sung by elderly people, after drink has been taken. I’m very flattered but I have to say I don’t think the song will make it to the top of the download charts any times soon’.
Vendman customers who receive the invitation will not, however, be compelled to listen to the song. Instead, recipients will have the option of clicking a link to Soundcloud, if they feel duty-bound to listen to it.
‘Or not’, advised PV’s Music Expert.
By they way, Rob asked us to invite you to join him and his team on Stand 446. ‘I promise all our customers there’ll be nobody singing on our stand’, he said.
When the song goes live, we’ll publish the link. Against our better judgement.
