ARN ‘Do yourself a favour: explore the flavour!’ says Gordon Johnston

ARNARN : All the Goss, from Gordon

Hello again

I’ve got a good way to sum up what I want to share with you this month and it’s this: ‘Do yourself a favour: explore the flavour!’

Red Bull is the pearl of the planogram in more than one kind of vending location, but when you fancy something  different to ‘give you wiiiiings’, what do you do? Easy. Try another flavour. (After all, you don’t think the RB taste boffins retired after they’d perfected Red Bull, do you?)

So, heads up; there are five of them; Red Bull Tropical Energy, Red Bull Watermelon Red Addition, Red Bull Summer Edition White Peach, Red Bull Summer Edition Curuba Eiderflower and Red Bull Pink Forest Fruits Sugar Free. Our favourites are White Peach the ever-popular Tropical. As a little ARN incentive that might encourage you to ‘explore the flavour’: There’s a new – and ongoing – 10% discount in play…

Let’s keep the ‘explore the flavour’ thread going by focussing on Monster Energy Lando Norris Zero Sugar cans. The more of a celebrity the F1 driver becomes, the more tributes are paid to him and Monster have done themselves proud in creating a great flavour for a great icon. As we say in the business, ‘it’s been making a lot of noise’, even as Mr.Norris was having a quiet British GP. Not.

And while we’re on the subject of new and exciting flavours I can’t fail to mention the fa-bu-lous Kit Kat Chunky Funky. It’s a marbled masterpiece  consisting of a crispy cocoa wafer covered in a tasty layer of smooth KitKat® milk chocolate and white coating. ‘Mmm’, fails to do it justice.

ARNAnd there’s new product from Walkers and when I tell you it’s called That’s Nuts you can probably take an educated guess as to what this tasty new snack is all about. The twist is that these are ‘flavoured’ nuts and what’s more, the flavours on offer are the same as your favourite crisps, wots-its and Dorritos.

I know that a few people will raise their eyebrows at the thought of offering for sale a ‘nut product.’ But remember,  M&Ms Peanut and the Snickers bar have been successful in the spirals for, well… ever. This is a nut product that revolutionises the sector and I reckon consumers will really get behind it.

That’s it for this month, enjoy the school holidays.
