Andrew Barrow Asks: ‘Are You Ready for Evoca’s ‘Grand Tour of ’24’?’

Andrew Barrow, the Evoca UK Sales Director, discusses Evoca’s participation in 2024’s key industry events in the second of a series of articles for Planet Vending

Kometa

Hello again

As I write this, the arrival of British Summer Time is just a couple of weeks away. There are signs everywhere: snowdrops in the garden, Death in Paradise on the telly, wall-to-wall Easter eggs in the supermarkets – and the overnight bag is out of the store cupboard, dusted down and ready to go.

It’s going to see some use this year! Vendex Midlands kicks-off a series of UK events that I’ll be attending with my colleagues in the coming months. It feels a little bit like the start of term; when school reconvenes and people get reacquainted. Everybody is optimistic and expectant.

I’m definitely optimistic and expectant. Across the Evoca Group brands, especially Necta, Gaggia Professional and Saeco, I genuinely believe that whatever you need to accomplish with your coffee offer, we have the machine that matches your requirements. It means I can approach every conversation with a customer, or a prospective customer, with complete confidence.

The latest addition to Necta’s formidable ‘K’ Range is Kometa and this year, we’ll be encouraging people to get hands on with the machine; it’s the only way to fully appreciate what this gem has to offer.

It’s the extent to which Kometa’s functions can be customised that really raises the eyebrows. You can create drinks to your personal spec to address the various demands of any HoReCa environment. Over a cup of coffee, I’m looking forward to demonstrating the other features of this amazing piece of kit and explaining the benefits they can bring to your operation, with all its individual nuances.

Opera Touch

We’re also looking forward to showing-off one of the market’s most exciting new vending machines. We have high expectations of the latest version of Necta’s Opera Touch. Lots of invitations to tender stipulate the installation of a machine that offers a wide variety of drinks and delivers them quickly, and Opera Touch is all that and then some. It’s designed specifically to offer fresh-brew tea alongside instant coffee and soup.

Close to my heart, as you might expect, is the new La Brillante from Gaggia. If you’ve never seen our PrimeMilk system in operation in tandem with an exceptional brewer, you’ve got a treat in store.  The ground-breaking milk foaming system results in temperature stability, top-quality perception and great consistency, cup after cup.

In a nutshell, we’ve got a lot to show you, a lot to tell you and a lot of time to listen to you, the better to understand your needs and point you in the right direction.

It’s almost time to pack that bag and get the Grand Tour of ’24 underway, so here are the main dates; better get them in your diary…

  • Vendex Midlands – MK Dons Stadium, 20 March
  • HRC – EXCEL London, 25-27 March
  • AVA Activity Day, hosted by Evoca – Warwick, 1 May
  • Venditalia – Milan, 15-18 May
  • AVS Conference– Dubrovnik , 17-18 June
  • Great Vending Get Together- Ardencote Manor Hotel CV35 8LT (Warwickshire),30 September

We’ll also be supporting NIVO events throughout the year.

That’s it for my second article, thanks for reading.

See you down the road!

Andrew

The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
