Vendon launches a Remote Reboot Plug for the Management of Vending Machines

Vendon has  introduced an affordable and easy-to-integrate solution to simplify machine management by enabling problem situations to be resolved remotely.

The new product is the Remote Reboot Plug. Many of the issues that lead to field visits can be solved with a brief power cut and a reboot.  With this product, the required reboot can be done off site, saving time and fuel. The plug is primarily intended to ease daily operations in the vending industry for handling vending machines that require specific on-site visit planning, yet it can be installed in any machine equipped with the vBox device.

Guna Kirse

‘Machine downtime can very often be solved by a hard machine restart, that is, by physically disconnecting the power plug and plugging it back in a few seconds later’, said Guna Kirse, Head of Product at Vendon. ‘However, the costs associated with such a simple action are disproportionate, including fuel and labor expenses, and revenue loss due to machine downtime. Now, with the remote reboot plug installed, operators have a veritable cost-saving tool at their disposal, which also works to promote customer satisfaction and convenience, as machine downtime can be solved in a matter of seconds.’

The new product is fully compatible with the vBox2 and is integrated with the Vendon Cloud, allowing a simple and easy reset of the machine with a few clicks. The Remote Reboot Plug is already available for order. It costs 75 Euros.

VendonPaired with the most advanced IoT and telemetry platform for vending and coffee machines, this solution ensures operators have the comprehensive tools they need to control their business. Vendon’s IoT solution enables remote vending machine management, as well as provides a complete real-time overview of the machine fleet allowing for data-driven decision-making for optimizing business. While the vBox2 from Vendon is a self-reliable and powerful telemetry device that enables business owners to make the most profit from their vending and coffee machine business, there are additional technical solutions that Vendon has developed or integrated over time to enhance the benefits of using our product as well as make the user experience even more intuitive and easier.
