Rheavendors : If ever a product was ‘of its time’, it’s Rheavendors’ new milk system. With energy bills going through the roof, the company’s efficient Varitherm system gives operators a welcome cost benefit. ‘It’s more energy efficient whilst in use and in idle mode’, said Steve Rossington Rheavendors’ UK Managing Director, ‘and the unit can deliver over 300 drinks a day, powered by the 24v outlet on the back of the main machine.
‘The milk system has a host of really useful safety features’, Steve added. ‘It can identify if the milk is of poor quality or it’s gone off; it detects if there’s water or cleaning solution in the pipes and when there’s an issue, the system won’t allow the production of any fresh milk drinks until it’s rectified. The system’s ‘Intelligent Software’ also means unnecessary cleaning is avoided. For instance, if the machine was cleaned last thing at night, and no milk drinks have been prepared since, it won’t run the cleaning cycle.’
New for Vendex is a stylish table-top machine that Steve described as ‘a bold move for us.’ ‘It’s created a bit of a storm’, he said. ‘The rhTT1 is the perfect combination of design and ergonomics that fits easily into any environment to create an intuitive coffee experience for our consumers. The touch screen, which can be 7 or 10 inches, allows you to set up and customise the interface, meaning you can run video content. The cup station is 165 mm tall, and it comes equipped with two sensors that can detect cups of different heights.

There’s also a separate hot water nozzle, which allows high-quality infusions to be prepared. It can be connected to the new fresh-milk system, or it can use milk granules or powders. It’s a machine that got the lot.’
Visitors to stands 42/43/44 at Elland Road will also witness the unveiling of Rheavendors’ brand-new, floor-standing, fresh-milk hot drinks vendor, the Luce Zero. ‘It uses the same fresh milk technology as our table-tops, so it delivers exceptionally high-quality hot and cold milk drinks’, Steve said. ‘On top of that, the new machine produces fresh leaf tea, making it ideal for the UK marketplace. And it’s compatible with all the popular payments systems.’
Finally, Rheavendors will be showing the laRhea mini black, a one-group, traditional espresso machine offered under the Wega brand name. ‘It’s a high-end domestic machine, designed for coffee lovers who are also aspiring baristas’, Steve said.
