Stephen Parsons is Leaving Evoca – But Don’t Mention the ‘R’ Word!

While the people at Evoca UK are delighted to welcome Andrew Barrow to the team, they are ‘hugely sorry’ to see industry veteran Stephen Parsons depart…

‘When we appointed Stephen, the industry sat up and took notice’, Craig Jukes, Evoca UK Sales Director said. ‘He brought with him a CV that included service with Franke, Matthew Algie and Tudor. As such, his arrival was a clear sign to the industry that Evoca had high ambitions for the introduction of Gaggia Professional products to the UK HoReCa market.

Stephen‘In the three and a half years Stephen has worked for us, he has played an enormous part in re-establishing the Gaggia brand name in the UK’, Craig said. ‘Thanks to his hard work, his knowledge and expertise, we have successfully introduced a full suite of commercial espresso machines into the UK – from Ruby to La Reale, to Gaggia’s first ever super automatic machine, La Radiosa. He leaves us in a much stronger position than we were in when he came on board.’

Stephen will be leaving Evoca at the end of March, but he refuses to use the “R” word. As he puts it, ‘I’m taking a little holiday, not retiring! It’s been fantastic working with this team over the last few years. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m glad I’m leaving the Gaggia brand in really good hands.’

All of us at PV wish Stephen well – whatever he does next.

The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
