Planet Vending & H2O Publishing Join Forces to Spread the Word

Planet Vending and H2O Publishing are to collaborate, with the aim of taking news of all things vending and OCS direct to end users.

An 8 page magazine supplement, called ‘Planet Vending’, will be inserted into selected H2O titles, such as Contract Catering, TUCO and OOH. ‘We’ve created an ideal opportunity for vending and OCS companies to communicate directly to end-users’, Planet Vending Publisher Yvonne Reynolds-Young said. ‘Our agreement with H2O includes their digital channels, meaning that the potential readership for selected stories is increased enormously.’

Planet Vending‘We want to create an authoritative, informative and entertaining vehicle for our clients and advertisers’, Planet Vending Editor Ian Reynolds-Young added. ‘Vending operators are looking for new opportunities in the wake of the societal changes caused by the pandemic, and the Planet Vending supplements can be a showcase for the services they offer.’

Space in the new publications is severely limited

‘We can’t say it’ll be ‘first-come-first-served’ when it comes to content for the supplements’, Yvonne said. ‘It’s important for the credibility of the new publication that we try to produce a well-rounded glimpse into the world of vending and OCS. For that reason, we’re asking potential contributors to discuss their article ideas with us in advance of submission. Having said that, very limited advertising space is up for grabs in the print version of Planet Vending and if people are interested in advertising, I’d advise them to get in touch with me at their earliest opportunity.’

Planet VendingThe move into print is a major milestone for PV. Our strengths are in creating content that’s easy to read, informative and entertaining. Then, using our Social Media and SEO experience, we bring our stories to the attention of as many potential readers as possible. The result is unbeatable coverage for our clients – and the deal with H2O allows us to further promote our customers by putting them face-to-face with a new audience for their marketing; an audience that is thirsty for information as we get ready for whatever the ‘new normal’ will bring.

The Editor

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
