Health and Safety Is No Laughing Matter…

I recently read a vending update telling of a North west based vending company who was fined for breaching health and safety regulations when one of their operators fell off a roof while cleaning the office gutters.  When I was Managing Director of Integer, I thought I asked my operators to go that extra mile but I never made them climb on the roof, and while I don’t want to make light of what could have been a serious situation it did make me smile.

Normally day to day health and safety is just a common sense thing but ensuring you are covered legally and training your people professionally can be difficult for a vending operating company.  You have the hassle of bringing your staff into the office, having a member of your senior management team doing the face to face training and also ensuring that the topic is covered consistently and professionally.

The AVA tasked the Vending Intelligence Agency to come up with a solution which is the Online Health, Hygiene & Safety programme that allows their members the flexibility of your staff doing the HSS training when and where they need it with minimum impact on your business.  It also uses vending specific examples using videos of real life examples, and with an online questionnaire to test understanding and a downloadable certificate it fully meets your needs.

We have also added some customer care techniques which will also benefit your operators and your customers.  For more information visit the AVA web page or give us a call on 08456 80 90 96.
