ARN: It’s February and it’s the Month of Love (Hearts)

ARN February Offers

All the Goss, from Gordon

ARNHello again

Are you sick and tired of scraping ice off the car every morning? I know I am, so I won’t be disappointed to see the back of January. The thing is, February’s looking as though it won’t be much better, so it’s a good job we’ve got some great coffee deals for you to warm up with. More of that later…

First, have you ever wondered why St. Valentine’s Day falls on February 14th?  Well, in 270 AD, Claudius II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, banned marriages and engagements, believing that young men were too attached to their wives and family to be good soldiers. Valentine, a priest who ministered to persecuted Christians, disregarded that particular decree and continued to perform wedding ceremonies in secret. When he found out, Claudius was slightly miffed, so he had Valentine beheaded in front of the masses on – you guessed it – February 14th. Not a lot of people know that.

Love Hearts haven’t been around for quite that long, but they’re no spring chickens either. They were introduced in 1954 and although some ingredients have changed over the years – for instance, they have no artificial colours these days – they’ve been a favourite ever since.

There’s always an upturn in sales of Love Hearts around Valentine’s Day, so make the most of this extra demand by pocketing an improved margin, thanks to our great offer. Perfect for vending machines!

February also sees the launch of two exciting new products from Mars, in the shape of Twix Crispy Rolls and Milky Way Crispy Rolls. That’s two of the UK’s favourite indulgences in a new form that we think is ideal for vending. We have high hopes…

125861: Mars Twix Caramel Crispy Roll 22.5g (24 Pack)
100540: Mars Milky Way Crispy Rolls 22.5g (24 Pack)

ARNWe’ve noticed that many of our customers are grasping the opportunity to boost their income streams by becoming de-facto wholesalers. The reliable, regular service that they provide has prompted their customers to ask them to supply products that are beyond the scope of traditional vending. Coffee for the snack bar is a case in point, and ARN is here to help. We are offering Lyons Coffee 750g x 6 Gold Roast – a tremendous value-for-money freeze-dried product – alongside Lyons Rich Roast granules, also available in 750g x 6 SKUs. Both are great tasting alternatives for you and your customers.

Speaking of coffee, our own Barista Gold skimmed milk powder is proving to be a market disruptor, with sales growing steadily month on month. It’s a high-quality product that comes in cheaper than the market leader – and feedback tells us that it’s not as sweet as the competition. So why not take the opportunity to purchase this great line at a very competitive price point?

Finally for this month some good news about Rosa vending cups. There’s been a reduction in price and as you’d expect from ARN, we’re passing the savings on to you.

ARNThat’s it for now, look out for more Goss from Gordon next month.Until then, keep smiling!
