Make Sure You Visit Automatic Retailing At Vendex North, Old Trafford – Tomorrow!

I must say, at Automatic Retailing, we’re all big fans of Vendex. After all, it’s been going nearly as long as we have and in that time, it’s become a prestigious show: stands are selling out more quickly every time and each show seems to attract more visitors that the last. I usually meet more customers and prospective customer in those six hours of Vendex than I would in a normal month.

Why is it so popular? I think I’ve just nailed it with this: ‘a month’s meetings in six hours’ – but there’s more to it than that. It’s the perfect opportunity to get hands-on with new technology, new brands and new products, all of which have been designed to address the ever-changing needs of the vending channel.

Not to mention catching up with your mates for beers and banter.

When I wrote just before AVEX I made a bit of a song and dance about how Automatic Retailing always supports vending events to show everybody out there how committed we are to the industry. Vendex is another example of that so I won’t bother you with that rant again!

Having said that, there’s a paragraph from that last doodle that’s good enough to reiterate, so forgive me for this cut and paste, but…

With age, comes experience. There’s no wholesaler that knows more about the vending operators of the UK. We aim to look to promote your successes as well as providing solutions to assist in overcoming challenges that, at times, we all might face. We’ve seen many of the country’s leading figures grow up in the business and emerge as stalwarts of the industry.

Visit Automatic Retailing on Stands C12 and C15 at Old Trafford

I’m going to call on that experience now to encourage you all to visit us on Stands C12 and C15 at Old Trafford. First, there’s a couple of new products you really have to sample for yourself. I think you’ll see straight away that they’ll sell well through your vending machines – especially those you’ve got in leisure and sports centres.

To get the full SP on the Grenade range and Bachelor’s soups, just click here – in fact you might have already read about them: they were the lead article in last week’s Vendex Shout-Out from Planet Vending.

And if potential big-sellers aren’t enough on their own to grab your attention, here’s another incentive. We’re having a business card drawer for a really exciting prize. I’m not going to tell you what the really exciting prize is, but there’s a clue in the Big Picture 🙂 It’s not so much a stocking filler as a face filler.

So, will I be seeing you at Vendex? That’s grand. Gan canny.

From John Crichton

The Editor

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
