Frozen vending anybody?
VIMTO manufacturer Nichols has acquired a 49% stake in the UK’s top supplier of ice drinks to the UK holiday and leisure industry.
It has bought into The Noisy Drinks Co which distributes slush drinks under the Starslush brand and had an annual turnover of £6.6m in its last financial year.
Essex-based Noisy has its own national network in the UK and also distributes to a number of key customers in mainland Europe.
Its operating model is closely aligned with Nichols’ Out of Home business and the Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside based company says the investment provides an opportunity for “both commercial and operating synergies”.
Meanwhile, Nichols chief executive John Nichols will tell the company’s annual meeting today that group trading for the first quarter of 2015 is ahead of the same period last year.
