Vendex Amsterdam 2026: By Jed Fraser
The setting for the first ever Vendex outside the UK was ideal: greater Amsterdam, with short easy connections by efficient public transport or taxi from/to both the airport and the city centre, as well as ample (free) parking on site for visitors with cars, or exhibitors with vans to unload. Easy! Perfect for all, whether local or traveling from afar.

The venue was large, airy and bright. And the stands were fully booked, combining both companies familiar from Vendex appearances in the UK and exhibitors I had previously only met overseas (whether at Venditalia, EU-Vend, or Vending Paris). Take a look at the map, and that makes sense: as well as Benelux, we were perfectly located for customers and suppliers from both Benelux and Northern Germany.
Visitors turned out in ample numbers throughout the day: the show opened at 10.00, and was busy right through to closing time at 16.00 – it was a steady flow, from the full variety of disciplines across our sector. Most were there to buy (or at least research and evaluate the offerings on the market) whereas others were on reconnaissance with an eye to exhibiting themselves next year. And looking at the level of advanced booking already for this event, Vendex Amsterdam 2027 will be even bigger. And busier. It will be in the same location, which makes sense: why change a winning formula?

And for those who are curious, but too reticent to ask, no there weren’t baked potatoes for lunch. But we did all enjoy free tasty hot dogs, courtesy of the organisers: the joy of foreign travel!
Thank you to Matt Derry and all of the Vendex team for so much hard work and careful planning to make Amsterdam 1.0 such a success. Congratulations from Planet Vending. It was both fun and useful: the perfect cocktail.
