The WHA, (The Water Dispenser & Hydration Association), has announced the appointment of Mark Cross as its Deputy Chairman, with immediate effect.
Mark Cross is Sales & Marketing Director at Waterlogic GB and Managing Director at MIW Water Cooler Experts and has over 20 years’ commercial experience in the UK water dispenser sector. He has worked with Nestle Water Coolers and Angel Springs, taking on roles that included field sales, key account management, digital marketing, and customer relationship management.
Jon Wicks, chairman of The WHA, said: ‘Mark is the perfect choice as Deputy Chairman. As a member of our Executive Committee, he has been involved in the strategic planning for the industry association since its formation two years ago. He has a wealth of industry sector experience as well as marketing knowledge and energy, which will be instrumental in taking the WHA forward.’
Mark Cross succeeds James Anderton, who stepped down from the role last month.
Your Bluffer’s Guide to The WHA
The Water Dispenser & Hydration Association, (The WHA), was established in January 2020, and is currently urging all providers of drinking water solutions to consider joining the new, expanded organisation.
The new association was born out of the former British Water Cooler Association (BWCA) and the European Drinking Water Cooler Association (EDWCA), creating a trade body that is bigger, better, and stronger in terms of the service it can supply both to end users and members.
‘The past two years have seen a consolidation of the previous associations under The WHA banner and now is the time for people to recognise that the WHA’s promise of quality, trust and standards which are embodied in our logo are there for the benefit of end users’, Phillipa Atkinson-Clow, the WHA’s General Manager said. ‘Prioritising members of the Water Dispenser & Hydration Association on shortlists is a guarantee of best practice and delivers peace of mind.’
