More than ever, data insight is a critical element in improving business performance and Vianet’s SmartVend platform, with its easy functionality and concise reporting, helps to improve profitability by allowing users to manage their assets more effectively.
However, Vianet’s mission is not simply to deliver solutions for the ‘right now’, on the contrary, its dedicated technology team, with extensive industry expertise, is pushing ahead. Having recently completed the second phase of the SmartVend Roadmap, the Internet of Things company is currently working hard on ‘the next exciting development’. Vianet’s most recent releases have seen the introduction of an integrated solution for stock and warehouse management and now, the SmartVend mobile app.
Data insight is critical to providing operators with the opportunity to understand and transform their business performance. Vianet’s SmartVend platform offers easy functionality to access invaluable insight and concise reporting, to improve profitability and drive efficiency. The Vianet team have been working hard to grow their product portfolio within vending, as part of their ongoing commitment to ensure they deliver against the present and – more importantly – the future requirements of their customers.
These developments and more have consolidated the sense of excitement and expectation around the Vianet Head Office in Stockton.
‘Our last production release in June saw us deliver a brand-new stock module to the platform, enabling our customers to more effectively manage their stock across their estate by being able to track an item from the warehouse all the way to the machine,’ Richard Smith, Vianet’s Lead Software Engineer, said. ‘Our next release is due this month and it’ll see the delivery of the SmartVend Mobile app for Android devices, which will further expand our ability to collect and analyse data for our customers. We’re all very excited to be launching this app at the same time as we continue work on the next phase of delivery for the platform, which will be a new service module.’
The all-new mobile app promises the best experience possible for the vending and unattended sectors, providing customers numerous improved operational efficiencies. The facility to enter a wide range of details manually is a great help for operators when deploying their resources. Amongst other things, this can include a daily list of jobs, which sites to visit, which machines to restock, and so on. Those unnecessary visits to machines that are frustrating, time-wasting and expensive, can be eliminated. In offline mode, operators can complete visits without an internet connection. The details are updated in SmartVend once the signal is restored.
Updates made when the machine is connected to the internet are added to SmartVend in ‘real time’. It means that Vianet customers can complete stocktakes and stock transfers from their smartphones.
We see from Vianet’s product roadmap there’s much more to come from them in the coming months as they continue to add further functionality and reveal new products throughout 2021 and into the New Year.
