San Benedetto

San Benedetto: Great Taste, Great Value and an Enviable Provenance

San Benedetto: Great taste still remains the number one decision when choosing a soft drink. If you can add to that ‘great value’, then you’re on the way to having a real success on your hands.

So, it’s no wonder AG Barr was excited to add San Benedetto to its extensive brand portfolio back in February 2018, in an agreement that saw the company appointed as exclusive distributor for the famous Italian soft drinks producer, in the UK and Ireland.

Great taste, great value and an enviable provenance: what’s not to like?

San BenedettoFounded in Venice in 1956, San Benedetto has grown from being a small local producer into a company with an international reputation for excellence: an ‘Italian ambassador’, if you will. With its ‘Prima Spremitura’ range of sparkling soft drinks, now available from Automatic Retailing Northern, San Benedetto’s values, together with the essence of Italy, are right there in the can, ready for UK consumers to enjoy.

‘Prima Spremitura’ means ‘First Squeeze’ in Italian. The production process is basically one of elimination: any factor that might compromise quality is eliminated along the way. That’s why the process begins by eliminating all but the very finest of Italian fruit. Then, only the juice from the first pressing of the fruit is used, eliminating the poorer quality juice that comes in subsequent pressings. Finally, the juice is added to San Benedetto Natural Mineral Water.

In this way, San Benedetto – still a family owned concern – leaves nothing to chance, ensuring optimum quality and an exceptional taste, which has been described as ‘young and sophisticated’; ‘fresh’, ‘light’, ‘intensely fragrant’ and ‘deeply refreshing’. With these attributes, it’s hardly surprising that San Benedetto has become a marquee brand that’s available in more than 100 countries.

Two flavours are currently available from ARN: Clementina and Lemon and AG Barr tell us that San Benedetto is driving higher UROS, when offered as a choice alongside other soft drinks.
