Merchandising… It’s What It’s All About!

Thanks to Sara Baillie from Refresh Vending for her latest contribution to the PV Blog on the importance of good merchandising!

Have you ever gone to a vending machine with the urge for something, but you aren’t quite sure what that something is?

You know you are thirsty or a little peckish but you haven’t the faintest idea of what it is that you are craving. You know that there is the perfect thirst quencher or hunger buster waiting for you but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is….Is it a 7UP kinda thirst or is it a hankering for Tango?

Will a Mountain Dew do? Or is it all about the Judy Dench… oops, sorry, we mean Juicy Drench.

Do you fancy a Rubicon or a Redbull? AAAAAAAAGH! sometimes the choices are there but you just don’t fancy anything…. something is stopping you from making a decision and sorting out that distracting craving and it’s really interrupting your productivity.

We know what’s stopping you from making a decision… it’s bad merchandising. The layout of products in a machine can really help you make your mind up. If it looks good you feel good and if you feel good you make good choices. Merchandising is important to us – we do all that we can to get it right allowing you to choose your desired thirst quencher or hunger buster with ease and speed. Plus, a machine stocked like this looks pretty fancy too:

Would this tempt you to buy?

So big up to the merch. Woop. Now if you’ll excuse us we’re just going to turn that Diet Coke bottle on the right and those few Mountain Dews to face the front…. our quest for perfection is NEVER complete.
