AVA members are looking forward to a series of events this year, kicking off with the latest stop in its ‘On the Road’ initiative.
The added bonus of any visit to James Cropper is that you get to experience the picturesque setting of The Lake District; but this meeting, on Wednesday April 5th, has an equally compelling purpose – the collection and recycling of paper cups, and how that can help your business.
On Thursday June 15th, Evoca is sponsoring the ‘AVA Activity Day’. Apparently, this event has been organised in response to those members who have repeatedly asked ‘does it always have to be golf?’
Be careful what you wish for. This particular do, which takes place at Adventure Sports in Warwick, promises to expose you to ‘a range if wild, yet exciting activities’. Take part in Reverse Steer Snooker, The Digger Challenge, 4×4 Off Road Driving, Pistol & Rifle Targets and Archery. The day is limited to 35 places, with attendees divided into teams of seven. So, it’ll be competitive as well as fun. It’s not cheap (£125 + VAT) but there are loads of prizes up for grabs and a serious BBQ, to boot.
Golfers have their event too: the AVA’s Northern Golf Day, sponsored by Nestlé, takes place at Wetherby Golf Club on 25 July. Amazingly, thus event is in its 42nd year. After the event, in which players will compete for the legendary Jack West Trophy and the Nestlé Trophy for the best Stableford score, there’s a dinner complete with a prize giving. It’s £85 per player.
More to come from the AVA later in the year!
