ARN’s Ones to Watch 16 : Red Bull is Rising and Barebells is Booming

Hello again and welcome to the ARN’s Ones to Watch 16

You have to hand it to our friends at Red Bull. Drag them into a fight and they don’t back down; they have principles and they stick to them.

Maybe you aren’t aware of it, but a few years back they had problems in the States, because a wholesaler was importing cans that had been destined for South Africa and selling them at way under their US market value. They won their case.

ARN's Ones to Watch 16And guess what? Pretty much the same issue has raised its head in the UK. Our market has also been disrupted by imports that were never intended for sale here. The situation was bordering on the chaotic… The energy sector is the fastest growing sector, still dominated by brand leaders, and Red Bull is right up there.

ARN’s Ones to Watch 16

Nobody who remembers our reaction when an influx of ‘grey’ KitKat’s was spoiling the job four years ago will be surprised to hear that throughout this time our loyalty to Red Bull was never in question. We backed one of ‘our’ brands and now, the range is expanding and with it, the number of potential new customers. For all of us.

In no particular order, we’ve now got the larger size Red Bull in stock. It’s a chunky, 355ML can that comes in two-dozen outers.  Alongside the original, you can now offer Red Bull Energy Sugar-Free Cans and Red Bull Energy Zero. Both come in 24 x 250ML. And that’s not all, we’ve also got 3 new flavours to conjure with, namely ‘Curuba & Elderflower’, ‘Watermelon’ and ‘Tropical’.

Have you had a nibble at Barebells yet? We’re talking protein rich confectionery as an alternative to other products that maybe aren’t quite so good for you. Barebells 12×55, as you’ll see on our offer sheets, it’s a very strong value proposition

ARN's Ones to Watch 16But Barebells isn’t just tasty bars; it’s also milk shakes and recovery drinks. The Health and Wellbeing space that everybody is talking about is getting bigger and bigger and the Barebells brand has established itself as a really important player in the sector. I’ve got it down as a ‘must try product’, and I can’t say fairer than that.

Not a lot of laughs this time!

That’s it for ARN’s Ones to Watch 16 , see you next month. Until then it’s back to The Olympi… I mean, it’s ‘back to work’.
