Big Is Best: Vendman Agrees Partnership With German IT Giant Materna

Vendman has announced a partnership with Dortmund based IT giant Materna that’s designed to implement Vendman in Germany. The collaboration will be launched this week at EuVend.

Hot on the heels of Vendman’s theme for 2016, ‘The Year Of Integration’, comes the company’s mantra for 2017. It’s ‘Big Is Best’, implying that this is the first of several ‘significant’ announcements this year.

‘It is a milestone moment for Vendman’, Executive Chairman, Europe Ian Forde acknowledged. ‘Materna has been successfully implementing ITC projects for more than thirty-five years and their client list reads like a “Who’s Who” of German companies and public sector organisations.

‘They have around 1,700 employees throughout Europe, including highly specialized consultants, software developers; software architects and project managers – not to mention editors and marketing experts. As you’d expect from a full service provider, Materna covers the complete spectrum of services, from strategy and consulting through to implementation and operations. They’ve already developed payment apps that communicate with their telemetry system and they work with PayPal for cashless sales. We’re integrating their system into our ‘back-end’ and that’s exciting for us, because in our estimation, PayPal will be the phone payment method of choice for huge numbers of consumers in the future.’

‘Materna is the ultimate sales vehicle for Vendman in Germany’, Ian said. ‘They already have a large customer base, for instance for their cashless technologies, that’s interested in investigating the additional benefits incumbent in having Vendman controlling the ‘back end’.

‘It’s all moving in the right direction’, Ian said.
