Vendex Midlands 25

As the focus turns to Vendex Midlands 25, I’m really looking forward to welcoming operators from across the industry to our stands – 58-60 – and showing them the latest innovations from Cantaloupe and SB Software. The vending sector is evolving at a rate of knots and right now operators are on the lookout for solutions that enhance security, drive profitability, and streamline operations—and that’s exactly what we’ll be bringing to Milton Keynes.
There’s a lot you’ll want to know about, but let me kick-off with Smart Store technology, not least because it’s already experiencing strong traction in the market. Operators are facing growing challenges around shrinkage and security, and Smart Stores provide a modern, self-service solution that ensures every item taken by the customer is accurately tracked. With dozens of units already sold, customers are testing Smart Stores in locations that may not have traditionally been suitable for a micro market—expanding their revenue opportunities and increasing average basket size compared to a standard vending machine.
On top of that, I can tell you that operators are also looking at the Smart Store as a real opportunity for incremental food sales – both fresh and frozen. What’s more, we’re hearing about potential new applications all the time, as people come to terms with the possibilities incumbent in this new technology.
Alongside Smart Stores, we’re also unveiling the next generation of Vendmanager at Vendex Midlands 25. The first thing you’ll notice is that the dashboard experience has been enhanced. The new dashboards, which will be available for customers to pilot post-Vendex, will give you an unparalleled level of flexibility. For instance, you can drill into key data points at the click of a button. It’s the ability to see where action is needed quickly that leads to faster, more effective decision-making and ultimately to improved profitability. I must say that initial field trials with customers generated a lot of excitement, with people saying they’d never seen anything like it before. You can imagine the buzz we got from that feedback…
Visitors to Cantaloupe on stands 58-60 can get hands-on with these solutions, not to mention our cashless payment technology, micro market solutions, and demo software for operators not yet enjoying the benefits of Vendmanager or Coffeemanager.
