Vianet ’has launched a new eLearning Platform, SmartAcademy. The new platform delivers ‘a sustainable and flexible training solution for Vianet’s customers and employees’.
SmartAcademy consists of ‘a huge range’ of both e-learning and face-to-face training course, all of them freely accessible to customers. ‘The eLearning Platform shares the wealth of experience we’ve gained in the Leisure, Vending, Technology and Customer Service arenas’, Vianet Business Development Manager Cole Little said. ‘SmartAcademy also covers areas such as Personal Development and Leadership & Management Sectors, plus it has a useful resource of industry data and insight.’
SmartAcademy was launched back in November 2020 and rolled out to selected Vianet customers in parallel with SmartVend, the new Insight Portal. The response was an enthusiastic ‘thumbs-up’.
“It’s been a game changer, in that is has enabled our customers to develop their knowledge and understanding of SmartVend proactively and at their own pace’, Cole said. ‘The short videos and audio commentaries give our customers the confidence they require to fully utilise SmartVend, freeing up time to focus on other pressing issues, such as sales and operational efficiency.”
SmartAcademy was launched internally on March 1st, to support Vianet employees in their Personal Growth. Staff now have access to a range of courses and video tutorials and once again, the benefit is that personal learning and development can now be addressed at the individual’s discretion.
‘Demand for an online learning platform has been rising drastically and with Smart Academy, we can move, grow and adapt to whatever challenge is round the corner’, Vianet Group Product Trainer, Joanna Corner, said. ‘Online learning is rapidly becoming the norm and it’s proving to be one of the most effective ways to educate.’
SmartAcademy will be regularly updated with new content, keeping both employees and customers in the loop through new training and videos on products, new releases, and continuous personal and professional development.
SmartVend Stock Management Module: Coming Soon
The global pandemic has generated even greater demand in the vending industry for efficient stock control systems and innovation to deliver hassle-free stock management.
Vianet recently took a step back to review operators’ needs as part of their SmartVend development and the company is currently in the final stages of developing an integrated solution for its stock management module, currently part of the Vendman ERP.
The new system, currently in development, will help operators adapt quickly to change, meeting the demands of today and building a strong foundation for tomorrow. ‘Building the SmartVend system has not been about re-inventing the wheel, it’s been about delivering successful tools for the long-term’, said Joanne Vinton-Bullwinkel, Vianet’s Head of Customer Experience. ‘Our next steps are to launch a stock management module that delivers against the requirements of our customers but in a far simpler way, supported by a new mobile app that will drive efficiency in the field.
‘We have a dedicated technology team who have worked hard to develop this module from Front End Designers to Solution Architects, ensuring the best experience possible for our end user”, Joanne said.
“The new stock management module will allow customers to see what stock they have and where, and transfer it between locations – warehouses, vans, machines – as well as complete stocktakes and manage products, all from the palm of their hand.”
