Preventative Maintenance from Vendon: The Effective Way to Keep Your Coffee Machines Working

Vendon has improved its range of solutions for OCS operators with a new tool that ensures the regular inspection, cleaning and maintenance of coffee machines, to prevent unplanned downtime and costly repairs.

Vendon’s new Preventative Maintenance solution takes care of all maintenance work, as well as automatically keeping track of upcoming, planned, and completed.

Preventative Maintenance delivers a range of benefits that can have a remarkable impact on the reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of coffee machines. First, it provides a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that coffee machines operate flawlessly and continuously, producing drinks of consistent quality whilst establishing a positive reputation and building customer trust.

The new solution is conveniently integrated in the Vendon Cloud, which allows users to schedule maintenance within a variety of parameters: after a certain number of drinks has been dispensed; when a particular period has elapsed; after a specified level of water consumption or a set amount of ingredient consumption.

Marta Fišere

‘With a centralized tool for scheduling and tracking maintenance works, the planning and allocating of resources is effortless and all the while, the operator stays informed about ongoing tasks and has accurate records of maintenance activities’, said Marta Fišere, Product Manager at Vendon. ‘This helps prevent downtime, but when a machine does go out of service, Preventative Maintenance will tell you for how long, and at what cost.

‘The Preventative Maintenance tool not only offers convenient monitoring of machine maintenance, but also forecasts the date when a visit to the machine will be required. That’s a really helpful feature for OCS operators when they’re planning works ahead of time’, Marta said. ‘For example, if you’ve chosen to carry out maintenance after a certain number of cups have been dispensed, Preventative Maintenance will automatically forecast the date when that will happen.

‘Our team is always working hard to develop solutions that provide the most convenient user experience and, at the same time, bring real benefits to our customers. Preventative Maintenance is a tool we’ve really been looking forward to implementing, because it’s going to have a huge impact on daily operations in the coffee industry because it makes the maintenance and upkeep of machines so easy’, Marta said.

‘By adopting Preventative Maintenance, operators can pinpoint potential issues and address them before they turn into major problems. Plus, operators will find that the working lives of their coffee machines are extended by regular maintenance, so they won’t have to buy replacement equipment quite as often.
