Blue-Storm MD Phil Millard has joined Refresh Vending as a non-executive director

Blue-Storm MD Phil Millard has joined Refresh Vending as a non-executive director. He will be working within the Birmingham based business one day per week. The appointment is seen as a significant element of MD Max Baillie’s ‘ambitious growth plans’.

In appointing Millard, Refresh Vending has added the value commodity of ‘experience’ to its energetic and highly successful team: for 10 years he was MD of Integer Vending Ltd, a large regional vending operator later absorbed by Snack-Time plc. Previously, he was a Senior Director at Canon UK Ltd. and for the past four years, he’s built up a successful business, Blue Storm, which has trained and developed countless people working for leading companies in the vending industry.

‘Max is a very ambitious young man who has built up a well-run, successful vending business within the West Midlands’, Mr. Millard told PV. ‘The company is a prominent member of the AVS group and not only can Refresh boast some prestigious clients, but also the company has enjoyed several significant successes over the last twelve months, winning some important tenders within the West Midlands area.

‘The task now is to take the business to ‘the next level’ and it will be my role to help design and implement a business plan, to develop and coach senior managers and to improve procedures and working practices wherever possible. We’ll also reinforce the sales department with a new sales person by the spring following the recent addition of telesales and ACT CRM system” Phil Millard said.

‘With our unique branding and concepts, serviced by our fantastic team we expect to grow significantly over the next few years.’ Max Baillie

Evidently, Max Baillie is focusing on the future. ‘We’re a young company in a very competitive marketplace, but in the last year or so we’ve proved to ourselves that we are ready to compete on every level. We are close to launching our own coffee brand and have a fantastic team providing excellent service ’, he said. ‘We have to manage our changing status in the industry and that calls for astute planning. Phil is the ideal addition to the team, because he’ll be on ground that’s familiar to him, but a whole new ball game for us. He knows the vending business inside out and I’m sure he’ll be invaluable in shaping our offer, and our team, so that we can make the most of the opportunities that continue to come our way.’
