Let J.H. Put You In The Picture at Vendex

Jonathan Hilder may no longer head the AVA, but that doesn’t mean he’s disappeared from the vending scene – quite the contrary.

He’s the official photographer of Vendex, for starters, and he’s prepared to do a good deal if you decide you book some professional pictures at the show and – trust us – you need decent images if you want to get your story covered by important on-line portals such as Planet Vending 🙂

JH is a bit of a star lensman as it goes: The Guild of Photographers  presented him with a prestigious Top Ten Photographer award at a Presentation Evening in February.

The Guild of Photographers has grown to over 1500 members, and was established in 1988, is a highly respected association that supports photographers committed to high standards, and is seen by many as a ‘Mark of Trust’. The Guild’s Top Ten awards are given to the highest scoring photographers following the conclusion of its ‘Photographer of the Year’ competition.

The award is held in very high esteem as the Guild’s competition is regarded as the most demanding of photography competitions!

Photographers submit multiple images for assessment on a monthly basis throughout a full year. Thousands of images are entered throughout the UK, across Europe and as far afield as Hong Kong.

The Guild of Photographers Director Steve Thirsk said ‘for anyone to achieve a Top Ten award following such a demanding and highly contested year-long judging process is a great achievement. Jonathan Hilder is clearly a very talented photographer fully deserving the Guild’s accolade!’

The Editor

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
