‘The accolade not only recognises our strategic approach to supplying vending equipment, but also our ongoing efforts to work with our customers to creatively develop their businesses allowing them to compete effectively in the marketplace’, Tony Smith, National Sales Manager for vending at Jacobs Douwe Egberts Professional, said. ‘The award also acknowledges the powerful branding that Jacob Douwe Egberts provides, which allows operators to offer quality-assured coffee that resonates positively with the consumer.’

‘Innovation is key at Jacobs Douwe Egberts, but it is essential to provide this alongside tailored support.’ Tony Smith

Run by the Associated Vending Services, the AVS Conference recognises the 28 member companies that trade from 45 locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland under the AVS national services umbrella.

Founded in 1980 with the aim of improving the vending market and ensuring premium customer service, AVS companies serve 3,550,000 hot drinks to 1,000,000 consumers every day and have a combined annual turnover of £108 million.

‘We’re delighted to receive this award once again this year’, Tony told PV. ‘Given that it’s voted for by all members, it’s a fantastic mark of achievement for us, highlighting the consistency of our success in vending. Innovation is key at Jacobs Douwe Egberts, but it is essential to provide this alongside tailored support to each customer to ensure together we can place them ahead of their competitors. It was a fantastic conference as always’, Tony concluded, ‘and we’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with the AVS and its members.
