Eu’Vend is good for Crane Payment Systems

BY DAVID GOUGH

At Eu’Vend 2013 Crane Payment Solutions presented their complete range of high quality products and technologies for the vending market, while offering the chance for visitors to find out more about the company and its people too.

Products on the stand included the currenza c² and currenza c² airport coin changer, the currenza clip cashless payment system, the latest 3,5” and 5” coin validator range consisting of the v² colibri and NRI v² eagle and the CashCode SMv2, MSMv2 and MSM bill validators.

Michael Pfeil, Business Development & Sales Manager Germany from Crane Payment Solutions said: “Eu’Vend went very well for us and we had the chance to meet with many of our customers and discuss their business needs. It isn’t all about the products though. We pride ourselves on being a service friendly company and wanted to communicate the fact that our people are a major part of our success. Visitors were able to meet our staff from different departments, including order handling and R&D, meaning they could meet face to face with those people they perhaps had only ‘spoken’ to by phone or email before. We also took the opportunity to communicate some of our social responsibility work by promoting how we support local communities.”

In Germany, Crane Payment Solutions is supporting the Kindergarten of the “Lebenshilfe Buxtehude” institute (http://www.lebenshilfe-buxtehude.de/) and a flyer detailing the work of the institute was distributed on the stand. The institute, which focuses on supporting underprivileged families, children and disabled people, is just one of the organisations supported by Crane Payment Solutions worldwide.

Visitors to the stand were asked to complete a payment system questionnaire to help Crane Payment Solutions further understand customers’ needs and market trends. There was also the opportunity to see a prototype of Crane Payment Solutions’ new cashless payment system.

The GiroGo system is designed for the German vending market and is the successor of the German Geldkarte system. It provides contactless payment via a prepayment system which can be loaded online or at ATMs. For transactions below 20€, customers can pay without a PIN at the POS.

Mr Pfeil added: “We received positive feedback about the GiroGo system and will have a closer look at the market demands for this in the next months as well as discussing requirements for this technology with more customers.”
