EdUKaid: Tickets are now on sale for the annual Great Vending Get Together and once again, the focus is firmly on raising funds to change lives in Tanzania. Make a note – SATURDAY 13 OCTOBER 2018
For the 8th year running, Revive Vending is hosting the annual Great Vending Get Together, at the beautiful Haven Hotel in Sandbanks, in support of EdUKaid. Each year, leading figures in the vending industry travel from all over the country to enjoy a lavish dinner, bid in the highly competitive auction and dance the night away to some fantastic live music; whilst raising money for a great cause. This year’s event to be held on Saturday 13th October is predicted to be bigger and better than ever before.

Over the past 8 years, the vending industry has raised more than £120,000 in aid of the charity. As a result, EdUKaid has dramatically improved the lives of over 14,000 disadvantaged children in one of the most remote areas of Tanzania. EdUKaid works with local communities to improve the quality and availability of early years and primary education. With over 40% of children dropping out of school before their 10th birthday, there is a desperate need for support in the country.
Revive Vending’s Managing Director and Chair of EdUKaid Tim Varney told us “It is truly incredible to see the impact that the industry has achieved. These children were facing a very bleak future trapped in a cycle of poverty and despair – thanks to the generous support of people from across the industry they now have the chance of a very different future.” Tim Varney, his wife Sarah and their family founded the charity in 2003 and travel to visit the projects each year.
