Driving in Snow and Icy Conditions – what to do?

Well, apart from staying at home and snuggling under the duvet for the rest of the winter, most of us will have to venture out and face the elements.

Those vending machines will not re-stock themselves you know…

Snow looks pretty, and tastes good to eat judging by the reaction of the elephants on Countryfile on Sunday (watch out for the yellow variety though), but it plays havoc with the roads and your car. Here are a few tips courtesy of the AA about how to cope.  The big message has to be

‘Look after your car, or Van and it will look after you!’ car-in-snow

Unless you happen to be one of these drivers in the video however…

Keep your fleet on the road for as long as possible but remember that you have a duty of care and have to ensure that your drivers and other employees are safe.
