This morning we had the unexpected pleasure of a delivery of the delicious BWaffle from Stute Foods to go with our Friday elevenses…
Friday’s in PV Towers are always a little frantic as it’s ‘Publication Day’ where we sort through the last minute releases and decide what will go onto the site, ready for the update in the afternoon.
Clever PR and marketing teams have cottoned on that Friday is our deadline and the later they give us stories the higher up the list their story could be and they therefore think it’ll be the most read. Well, sometimes it works that way and sometimes it doesn’t! So, to be sure of being included, best to give us a bit more time! Anything that needs a major edit is likely to be put on the back burner so if your news hasn’t been professionally written its better to give it to us earlier in the week.
This Friday though started pretty much as normal, and then the postie arrived! There was an exciting ‘thud’ as his delivery came through the door so we raced to pick it up before PV’s resident dog (Dylan the Cocker) and letter carrier (chewer) got to it.
On the floor were a number of bits of boring mail, plus a very interesting looking padded envelope. Now, none of us has been buying from eBay recently (although we nearly bought a Campervan last week) so, intrigued, we ripped open the envelope and out fell three packs of what looked like squashed buns. On closer inspection it was actually the new product from Stute Foods that they’d sent us details on a few days before. This is it.

We’d just made ourselves a brew so we popped one into the microwave for 15 seconds as instructed. Wisely, we decided to have just the one and split it between us. Let me tell you, they are very very tasty, but one between us was more than enough. ‘BWaffle’ ‘be sweet’, they tell us. And yes it is. At a whopping 312 calories, 20g of sugars, 204mg of salt and 16g fat, it was bound to be tasty, and sweet. The BWaffle, with its hazelnut spread, was very nice indeed and really helped the tea to go down. Perfect for our busy morning,… but somehow we don’t think we’ll be seeing it featured in an vending machine anywhere near a school or hospital!
