Vending’s PR guru strikes again… Broderick’s has excelled once more by making the ITV news, (and most of the papers!), with a brilliant Hallowe’en publicity stunt. We reckon that’s all the proof you’ll ever need that there’s nobody better at getting vending’s good-news stories ‘out there’ than Johnny Broderick.
Grandad takes trick or treating to another level

One thing the big fella might not like, though is the headline: ‘Grandad takes trick or treating to another level.’ That’s poor copywriting – no mention of the brand!
Apparently, Chateau Broderick in Hale Barns was overrun by kiddy-winks eager to take up the offer of a free treat – and to play with a vending machine, of course.
Fancy vending machines…
Always spot on for accuracy, the ITV story describes Broderick’s thus: ‘The business, which makes a range of fancy vending machines, bagged a series of industry awards and accolades before creating a chain of coffee houses.’
Even Len would struggle to give that a se-ven, methinks…

Who cares? On the back of that shoddy research, Johnny gets his say: ‘I brought the vending machine home for a bit of fun’, he told ITV, ‘but it went crazy. So many people from all over the place came to see it. It was so funny seeing their reactions. Everyone loved it. It caused a fuss, but the main thing was the kids having fun.
‘Everything was free’, he said, ‘they could pick what they wanted. It was nice because I met neighbours I’d never spoken to before. People were driving past wondering what the crowd was all about.”
