Barry Callebaut Vending Moves from St Helens to Chester

Barry Callebaut Vending UK is relocating its headquarters from St Helens in the North West to new premises on the outskirts of Chester.

The move will give the hot beverage supplier approximately four times the space that it currently has which should prove useful as it forges ahead with plans to double its business over the next five years. The company is owned by the world’s leading supplier of high quality chocolate, Barry Callebaut, and is renowned for the quality of its products which it supplies to the UK and wider European markets. The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years and the company is now investing in order to increase its capabilities and extend its market presence. The new premises will contain a significantly upgraded IT system and will also house new machinery which will allow Barry Callebaut to step up operations and improve packing capabilities of different size products including sachet as well as pillow pack products. The move is scheduled to take place in May, with the new offices officially opening at the start of June. The new headquarters will house a cross-section of staff, including senior management, accounts, administrative staff and factory employees as well as providing a base for members of the sales team. Managing director for Barry Callebaut Vending UK, Peter Holdway, is looking forward to the move. “The company is moving onto a whole new level now and so it is fitting that we bolster this period of growth and expansion with a move to bigger premises,” he said. “We are already making significant inroads into the horeca market and we expect to infiltrate a healthy proportion of the High Street in the next 12 months.”
