Planet Vending are delighted to pass on the details of the 2014 Vending Industry Awards as advised by the AVA. Get your skates on if you want to be considered. Entries deadline is 25th April.
Following the inaugural Vending Awards in 2013 and subsequent awards dinner with 449 in attendance, the awards are being run again in 2014. Having spoken to a large number of the members, the organisers have changed the format slightly.
Jonathan Hilder states ‘In the non-AVEX years, the awards will take place without the Operator of the Year categories as you felt that it would be better just to run these awards in the AVEX years. Last year, both the AVA and Vending International were very impressed by the standard of entries and I am sure that this will continue to be a true reflection on how great our industry is. Some of the customer testimonials were amazing and I am confident that the awards will go from strength to strength as they gain momentum.’
Jonathan continues ‘New for this year, we have added Best Innovation and Best Environmental Policy awards in additional to four EDWCA awards which will create a perfect opportunity for both the Drinking Water and Vending industries to get together and celebrate our partnership.’
TIMELINE
25th April – deadline for all entries
14th May – finalists announced
6th June – voting on the finalists closes
26th June- awards presented at The Palace Hotel, Manchester
HOW IT WORKS
Company awards
· Companies are invited to nominate themselves for an award
· They must include five customer testimonials with their application
· The judging panel will decide upon three finalists
· AVA members and the finalists’ customers will then be asked to vote
· The votes will count for 50% of the result, while the judges votes will count for the other 50%
Individual awards
· Companies are asked to nominate a member of staff for an award
· They must include three customer testimonials with their application
· The judging panel will reduce the entries to three finalists
· Jonathan Hilder, CEO of the AVA will the visit the finalists in the trade and choose the winner
