Just back from the mayhem that was Vendex – of which more later – but first, some important news to share with you.
Allan Walker is one of them. Are you, too? One of those people who get so tied up in what they’re doing that they forget to eat? When he gets to the bear-with-a-sore-head stage Allan sends out for a bottle of something called Huel. Well, I’ve got some good news for him. He won’t have to send out anymore, because we’ve listed Huel and it’s in stock right now.
Huel, (pronounced ‘hool’ – users refer to themselves as ‘Hueligans’, apparently), is basically a meal in a bottle. It consists of protein, essential fats; carbs, fibre and – count ’em – twenty-six essential vitamins and minerals. We’re offering 2 flavours, vanilla and chocolate. If you have customers where healthy options are popular, or where the staff often work through their lunch breaks (that still happens, I’m told), then this up-to-the-minute product will be well worth a couple of spirals. We’ve never stocked the full range of this popular drink before, so rest assured that the varieties we have been selling have exceeded our sales expectations. Boost is an alternative to Red Bull, but unlike many of those ‘me too’ products, the Boost brand has some cachet of its own; so much so that it was recently snapped up by our friends at A. G. Barr. And finally, back to Vendex. Of all the ARN staff that were involved with the show, it wasn’t the team on the stand that bore the brunt. In fact, it was the people back at the ranch who were run off their feet, as the boys phoned through your orders for the fabulous ‘today only’ offers we had on our stand. So, hats off to Anthony Hall, Luke Dixon, Stacey Moat and Claire Toner. You played a blinder and I’m proud of you.
Which only leaves me to thank all those customers who braved the crush to visit us in Leeds. It was genuinely heart-warming and to be honest, inspiring to see so many of you. Your presence ensured that Vendex was a huge success for us. We all hope it was for you, too.
