Don’t panic: Abercromby Vending has been shortlisted for the second year running at the third annual Glasgow Airport Awards. The prestigious event takes place later this month at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Glasgow on 19th February.
Abercromby has been nominated for ‘Retailer of the Year’, alongside Boots and JD Wetherspoon. This follows on from winning a Vendie in the category ‘Best Operator Up to £2million Turnover’ in Manchester last June.
Abercromby has been servicing Glasgow Airport since September 2014 and continues to grow, exceeding sales targets for 2015. The company was shortlisted for ‘Best Newcomer’ at last year’s awards and this year and here’s hoping MD Tracey Graham(pictured above) and her team go one better this year.
“The airport throws up challenges that you don’t normally see with other vending contracts”, Tracey told PV, ‘but the commercial team at Glasgow airport are always coming up with more ideas and opportunities for us to grow the business. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with such an experienced and business-savvy commercial team; it really has helped our partnership at Glasgow Airport to flourish.”
We say: ‘Go Abercromby and good luck!’
- Those of you who know Tracey and Thomas will also know they are always pushing the boundaries in healthy vending, so hopefully they can push on and pick up retailer of the year at Glasgow Airport. Up against two High Street giants, that’d be quite a coup for British vending, wouldn’t it?
