Our vending friends, Refresh Vending, sent us this one for your amusement. They’ve joined the Latte Art brigade – with interesting results, but maybe they shouldn’t quite give up their day jobs! Thank you Refresh Vending for this month’s blog contribution.
We’re enjoying the current trend for Latte art.
For example, we like this Latte Art Kangaroo by Elvis – Seivijus Matiejuna.
Now, our machines are pretty sophisticated and make a cracking cup of coffee and a terrific tea but they don’t add a fancy picture to the top of the milky froth. So that got us thinking here at Refresh Perk’s HQ in Birmingham. We thought about asking him to work inside one of our machines. But our people couldn’t get in touch with his people and it was all getting rather complicated.
We decided to take a different approach, after all, we’ve seen many a barista make a little milk heart on our froth; how hard can it be?
We decided to give it a go. Armed with a freshly made latte and a cocktail stick we got creative.
Here’s what we came up with and we’re pretty proud of ourselves… OK so it doesn’t give Seivijus Matiejuna anything to worry about, but we are pleased at our artistic creations…. especially our 3D froth polar bear! (What do you mean you thought it was a mountain range??)
So next time you grab a latte from our machine why not add your own latte art as you wait for it to cool down? All you need is a cocktail stick and a little imagination!
