Lloyds Supports Tastebuds’ Expansion

Tastebuds Vending has created four additional jobs and invested in a new headquarters with the support of a six figure loan from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

Tastebuds Vending was established in 2001 by Lee Chilver after working in the industry for 12 years. The company, baed in Upminster, sells and supplies a wide range of vending machines, coffee machines, snacks and cold drinks as well as water coolers to a varied customer base – from factories and offices to multi-million pound companies.

In order to improve efficiency and expand the business’s range of products, Lee approached Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking for funding support.

Following meetings with the bank’s team, funding was agreed and arranged for the business, allowing Tastebuds to purchase a 4,500 sq. ft. property. The space is being used to house the company and has created a much bigger area for Lee and the team to store products.

Lee told PV: “Since I started Tastebuds Vending 14 years ago, getting great suppliers and great customers on board has always been a top priority to help it grow into a successful business. Now we supply a range of vending machines, including coffee machines and water coolers, to more than 150 companies across the UK and we plan on adding to that list.

“The support we’ve received from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has been second to none. It’s clear the relationship team really care about our business plan and goals.”

Kieran Osborne, assistant relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, agreed: “Tastebuds Vending is a great example of an ambitious business that started out as a small venture and has since grown into a really successful brand.

“Expanding to new premises or taking on extra workspace is a great way for the business to increase its services and ensure its day-to-day operations run much more smoothly and efficiently.

“Working with growing businesses like Tastebuds Vending is something we are passionate about and we have a range of tailored funding packages and support services designed to help small enterprises expand even further and achieve their ambitions.”
