JDE Peet's

JDE Peet’s come to Vendex with ‘a coffee for every cup and a brand for every heart.’

JDE Peet’s Eddie Smith, Key Account Manager – Vending and Bulk, invites you to visit Stand 10 at Vendex Midlands.

Over the past few months, I’ve been spending a lot of time travelling up and down the motorway, thinking about what makes a simple cup of coffee great.  A cup of coffee that, when you pause and sip, suddenly sparks a moment of unexpected inspiration or creativity…

It’s the pursuit of that elusive feeling which is the driving force behind Kenco’s 2026 strategy. We call it our Made to Uplift journey and personally, I’m genuinely excited about where we’re heading.

We’re updating our visuals…

This year, we’ll be bringing some fresh innovation to our Kenco blends. I can’t share everything with you just yet – (I promise, there’s much more to come), but I can tell you to expect richer mouthfeel, refreshed imagery and a renewed focus on those high‑quality taste cues, which are so much a part of our heritage. Rest assured that all of what is to come is grounded in what we’re most proud of: expertly roasted, 100% sustainably sourced coffee. It’s going to take our customers — and coffee lovers everywhere — another step up the ladder of premiumisation within the category.

If you’re heading to Vendex Midlands, come and say hello! JDE Peet’s will be on Stand 10, serving hand-crafted Douwe Egberts speciality coffee and as always, I’ll be up for a catch‑up.

Hats off to Evoca UK and Duncan Odgers for lending us both the Ruby Pro and the brand‑new G4 grinder. Honestly, on‑demand grinding is becoming non‑negotiable in coffee shops these days and thanks to the loan, we’ll be able to present our top-quality products in all their glory!

At Milton Keynes, I’ll also be offering a sneak preview of the new look we’re adopting for our Douwe Egberts machine branding. We’re updating our visuals across floor-standing and bean‑to‑cup vending solutions. The early reactions to the new look have been fantastic and massive thanks are due to Dan Sommers and the team at CranePi for their support throughout the process.

And by the way, if you pop by Crane’s stand, you’ll be offered a delicious Douwe Egberts coffee and at the same time, see our new branding ‘live’ on their latest machine. (I must say that the all-new user interface Crane have designed is super intuitive!)

At JDE Peet’s, we believe there’s a coffee for every cup and a brand for every heart. I can’t wait to share more of what we’re brewing next…

So, I hope you’ll make time to come and say ‘hello’ and enjoy a drink with me at Vendex Midlands. Don’t forget: Stand 10. See you there!

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
