It’s Your AVA – and Now is The Time to Step Up!

It's your AVA
David Llewellyn: ‘Now is the perfect time for you to step up.’

It’s your AVA : A call to arms from AVA CEO, David Llewellyn.

Hello again

The past few years have brought huge changes to our industry – from the impact of the pandemic the consequent evolution of work patterns, to new legislation which is reshaping they way we operate. Through it all, the AVA and its dedicated Board of volunteers have provided vital leadership and direction.

With the recent departure from the Board of Kelly Pugh, Diane Hunter and Graham Kingaby in his role as Treasurer (now in the capable hands of Tom Williams – thank you, Tom!), we have more vacancies than usual. That means now is the perfect time for you to step up. It’s your AVA after all…

As an AVA Board member, you will influence the direction of your industry. If that appeals, then we want to hear from you.

As part of our regular two-year renewal cycle, five positions on the AVA Board are open for election:

  • 2 x Regional Operator Representatives
  • 1 x Commodities Representative
  • 2 x Machines & Components Representatives

You’re eligible to apply for these positions if your company is a full Operator, Commodities or Machines & Components member of the AVA, The Board meets quarterly and holds monthly online catch-ups, which  drive AVA’s work and ensure the voices of our members are professionally represented.

It’s your AVA .If you’d like to contribute your expertise and help steer our industry forward, here’s what you need to do to stand for election. Simply e-mail

  • Your completed 2025 AVA Nomination Form
  • A short biography (max 250 words)
  • A recent photo

 to: Penny.Rowell@the-ava.com

The closing date for applications is 12th May 2025, so you don’t have long… And remember, your industry needs you…

Thanks in anticipation

David Llewellyn
