A statement was published on the Auto Vending E web site this morning. It reads:
After working together for 23 years, Amanda Roberts and Phil Reynolds (pictured), have decided to go their separate ways in business.
Amanda is forging ahead with a new career as an author and has had one novel published already. She is also undertaking freelance writing projects with a growing number of clients. Phil is going to concentrate his efforts on the further development and growth of Vendex, which is truly a success story. Future Vendex events will be run by Phil under a new name of Trade Events. Rephoto Publishing will cease to exist and the Auto Vending-e website will be closing shortly.

For many years, Auto Vending was the magazine of choice for vending’s advertisers and PRs. To have a client featured in the magazine’s famous ‘The Last Word’ column was regarded as quite a coup; it always generated comment and banter.
…the contributions of both Phil and Amanda to the business of vending in recent years should not be underestimated.
As a PR, Amanda was my point of contact; I got to know her better than I know Phil. The highlight of my working with Amanda has to be getting her on live TV in Manchester, at 7.30 on the morning after the night before. You can still see it on You Tube.
Times change, things change. I’d like to thank Phil and Amanda for Auto Vending especially. I think AV did a great job in presenting vending as a highly professional, highly specialised business. Shrinking markets and shrinking budgets, added to the on-line revolution, have proved to be a fatal cocktail, but the contribution of Both Phil and Amanda to the business of vending in recent years should not be underestimated.
