As AVEX International closes its doors again, it is time to reflect on how the show was for us at the EDWCA and our members.
As in the quote adapted from the 1989 movie Field of Dreams – ‘If you build it, they will come’ …we built it and they came.

Although smaller than previous AVEX shows this lent to the more intimate feel and allowed visitors to traverse the aisles and look at all the exhibitors in a reasonable length of time. With a more relaxed atmosphere, visitors could choose the exhibitors to visit and be able to have time to talk about their requirements.
From exhibitors such as N&W and Crane displaying their newest additions to their ranges, to EDWCA members such as Aqua Cure and AA First, both the Water and the Vending industries were well represented.
Here are just a few comments from the EDWCA members who exhibited:

David Parkes – Managing Director of Aqua Cure commented…’It was good to see many of our customers at AVEX. Whilst we would have appreciated higher footfall, the opportunity to meet the industry at a single venue is always welcomed’

Peter Benson Sales Director for AA First said… ‘we are pleased to have exhibited at Avex 17. We had a good throughput of relevant visitors to our stand and there was a lot of interest in our new products.’
Particular interest was shown in the new EZYTAP 75/7800 under counter boiler-chiller tap. Our new table top Arctic Revolutions also attracted a large amount of interest. We look forward to developing business with the numerous contacts made at AVEX 17. All in all a good show from our perspective.
Mark Winter Marketing Manager for Abbeychart said… ‘It was a pleasure to meet everyone at AVEX2017 and to be able to introduce so many to our very own Nitro Coffee Machine. The nitrogen-infused cold brewed coffee caused quite a stir among visitors and was met with a hugely enthusiastic response. The stand was busy for the two days of the show and offered great opportunities for networking and for meeting existing and new clients. The focus of the stand was very much upon being environmentally friendly, with low power LED vending machine lighting solutions and eco-friendly water filtration featuring to reflect Abbeychart’s commitment to the environment.’
This year’s new addition of a Speakers’ programme was well received and equally well attended with visitors and exhibitors being introduced to speakers on subjects such as Brexit, Allergens, FM and the workplace of the future and Micro Markets, all under the watchful eye of compere Andrew Scott.
AVEX also gave the opportunity to display our new EDWCA marketing collateral promoting our members, our association and hydration for all.

The new and different look to AVEX International 2017 gave it a fresh feel, worthy of the Vending and Water industry in the 21st Century. See you all again in 2019.
Our thanks to Tracy for the EDWCA view on AVEX. If you’re involved in vending and water then you really should consolidate on the work of AVEX and the EDWCA by becoming involved in Planet Vending’s Spotlight On… Water in October. Contact us here to find out more.
