Vendman is supporting the Vending Industry awards as part of an on-going commitment to the industry and as full and active member of the AVA. Vendman believes that the awards are an opportunity to recognise and reward both the key corporate players and individual unsung heroes.
As Vendman’s MD, Rob Little, pictured above, said ‘Choosing Route Operator of the year was a bit of a no-brainer for us, in view of the fact our route management system is prevalent throughout the vending industry. What’s more, we feel strongly that individual operators, out on the road day in, day out, are rarely recognised for their dedication or professionalism. This award will help to redress the balance!
For Vendman, this is a rare opportunity to give something back to the industry: as a market leader, it is important we are supportive of the industry.
As this is the foremost awards even, being held during the ‘must attend’ bi-annual industry showcase, AVEX, it is the duty of anyone who has even a passing interest in the future of vending to review all the nominations and vote for who they think has made the most impact in each category.
The Vending Industry Awards ceremony, to be held during AVEX 2013, will be a wonderful occasion and an opportunity for all vending professionals to meet and make friends – and to let their hair down!’
Peter Wilson, MD of Cambridge Vending who has two finalists told PV;
“We are of course delighted with the shortlisting of Mandy and Louise, though of course we are not surprised given their calibre as route operators.
Both Mandy and Louise have had glowing testimonials from clients one of whom summarised thus about Louise:- ‘Louise is a huge asset to Cambridge Vending, the biggest compliment I can give Louise is that if all the other companies who supply a service to our site, and they are numerous, had a ‘Louise’ working for them I would have a lot less to worry about and a working day that was a lot less stressful’ He then adds, that he lives in hope!

Mandy has a good relationship with all of her customers and in our own recent customer satisfaction survey she was the recipient of more positive feedback than any of our other operators; the most common observation being that she is very helpful and that nothing is ever too much trouble for her. She is more than happy to talk through any technical machine issues with our engineers over the phone. Managing to rectify a technical issue in this way saves us engineer calls out and saves inconveniencing the customer.
We are very proud of both of them and wish them the best of luck on the night”
PV also heard from Andrew Jones from Express Vending who are finalists in 4 categories including Vendman’s Route Operator of the Year.
Their nominee is Tina Coules;

‘The focus of Tina’s application was her outstanding relationship with her customers, her innovation and impact on the team plus her length of service with Express as well as numerous colleague testimonials.’
PV wish everyone the best of luck for this, the first such, award and look forward to reporting on the winner! Meanwhile, VOTE HERE and be part of the big event.
