Vending Solution From Selecta Provides Convenient Access To PPE Equipment Across Europe

Selecta has launched a Vending Solution designed to deliver a range of convenient hygiene and safety solutions for public and private vending in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

As lockdown measures ease across Europe, the demand for products such as hygiene kits and sanitising fluid is set to grow exponentially and Selecta’s Vending Solution will cater to the requirements of diverse locations.

As more people are returning to work, companies, airports and transport associations are prioritizing their duty to help their employees and travellers stay safe. From hygiene products available in vending machines, to ‘Safety Stations’ – dedicated vending machines selling health and safety products – the new Vending Solution can be installed quickly where it is most needed.

Vending SolutionSelecta is also adding protective equipment, such as face masks, hand sanitisers and disinfectant wipes, in its smart vending machines in addition to the usual offer of snacks and drinks. Contactless payment options are also part of the Vending Solution, ensuring purchasing is easy whilst minimising physical contact with the machines.

Good hygiene practice plays a vital role in preventing the spread of the coronavirus and consequently, companies are looking for practical solutions to clean coffee machine touch screens, surfaces, hot desks, break areas, meeting rooms and the like. Selecta’s hygiene kits incorporate ecological cleaning products that can be mixed with water and used for this purpose. As part of its Vending Solution, Selecta is also offering hand sanitiser dispensers that can be placed in common areas.

For those who continue to work remotely, Selecta has designed a special range of care packages, which companies can supply to home-based staff.

The new Vending Solution has been available since early May. It has been well received by companies, consumers and the general public. In addition to high-profile locations such as Zurich Airport and Brussels Railway Station, Selecta has already equipped over 1,000 vending machines and safety stations to destinations in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland. The aim is to increase the offer over the coming weeks and months. As an active partner to communities, public authorities, transportation companies and private business, Selecta is ready to quickly respond with its Vending Solution to any customer needs.

‘The health and safety of our employees, clients and the communities in which we operate is our Number One priority’, Thomas Nussbaumer, Managing Director, Switzerland said. ‘As people begin to return to the daily commute, we have seen an increasing demand for safety products, both in public and private locations. We are proud to have respond quickly to these emerging needs, and the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive.’

Tim Goossens, Managing Director, Belgium, adds: “As our economy is slowly restarting, it is important to us that we’re able to respond our customers’ changing needs and the products and services on our Vending Solution enable us to do that. The Safety Station is a great example: it allows consumers to access the equipment they need 24/7, in a safe and convenient way. We are delighted to be able to support our clients and partners in this way during these challenging times.’
