There’s still time to join us on our epic ride from The Tower of London to the Eiffel Tower – and you’ll be in good company.
Yes, after Roger Bunn and I decided to do it, it’s actually happening! Fantastic! Utter madness! Can’t wait! How far? On a bike? With no engine? Really?
We’ll be leaving London (by the Tower) on 4th June and arriving Paris (that other Tower) on the 7th June, via whatever route John Ferguson has dreamed up (plenty of watering holes please!) Around 20 industry colleagues (and a couple of ringers) will undertake this exciting challenge.
Already committed (take that anyway you want) are John Ferguson (Bettavend), Stuart Coutts (Connect), Ian Keefe and Andy Cunliffe (Benders), James Aston (James Aimer), Mark and Gary Braid, Scott Raeburn, Colin Robson, Mike Smart (Myrtle), Jilly Beale (Guest), Roger Bunn (Crane), and me, David Brady (N&W).
We’re asking for your usual enthusiastic and generous support – we’re backing Macmillan and EdUKaid, both of which are familiar to most of us (rumour has it that Tim Varney has bought a bike…which is now in the garage).
We promise that none of the money will be spent on post-ride recovery, in fancy hotels enjoying expensive wines and delicious food. Which is not to say that we’ll eschew the gastronomic and viticultural delights of la belle France, we’ll just be paying our own way. Thanks in advance for your valuable support…
You can sponsor us Through Virgin Money Giving and rest assured that your donations will be processed quickly and passed on to the charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
