‘The Bottom Line Is Service’: Dave Ward on why N&W should win a VIA

N&W has been shortlisted for a Vending Industry Award, (VIA), in the category ‘Best Machine Company’ and MD Dave Ward has accepted PV’s invitation – extended to all finalists – to explain why he thinks N&W deserves to win.

‘What is it that makes a vending machine company the pre-eminent candidate for the award of ‘Best Machine Company’? Dave asked. ‘It’s a tough question and answers will always be subjective; but surely, the bottom line is ‘service’? The concept of ‘service’ permeates every part of our business.

‘N&W’s ethos centres on serving the vending industry’, he said. ‘We’ve continued to invest in R&D in a stagnant market, which is important because N&W technology allows vending operators to enhance their offers.

‘Our technology improves drinks quality whilst simplifying cleaning and general maintenance and we believe in training. In the past 12 months, more than 200 field engineers have been trained, both in the classroom and in the field, free of charge.

‘On top of that, we have augmented and improved our customer service team. Our team of technical support professionals is five strong, eclipsing the investment in service of any other manufacturer operating in the UK, and we’ve introduced  dedicated help and spare parts phone lines, together with a spare parts ‘app’ for use on smart phones and tablets.’

Dave also pointed out that N&W has a dedicated delivery team – ‘we make sure customers’ delivery expectations are met, every time’, he said.

‘N&W’s innovative products present additional opportunities for vending companies to compete in the retail coffee sector, as well as in traditional vending. Recent additions to range include the Canto Grande, which provides 12 oz drinks. In the HoReCa marketplace, our latest machines, such as Krea and Koro Max, have presented new business opportunities for vending companies by expanding their marketplace to include smaller establishments.’
