Spotlight on Vendex Scotland Nayax September 2022, Glasgow.
After the two-to-three-year Covid hiatus, Nayax UK’s Head of Vending, John Forde, is clear about his top priority when Vendex Scotland opens its doors on 14 September. ‘It’s all about getting together again with our customers’, he says. ‘We’ve been constantly improving and advancing our package for vending operators throughout the pandemic, and I think we’ve been pretty good at keeping customers engaged with us during that time. But having said that, there’s really no substitute for an old-fashioned face-to-face conversation.’

Monyx Wallet continues to break new ground. Nayax’s own in-house mobile wallet app, which works for both iOS and Android devices, allows consumers to pay for products or services at unattended automatic machines.
‘I believe that for vending operators, Monyx Wallet is the consumer engagement tool’, John said. ‘It allows them to reach the unattended consumer directly, build customer loyalty, and increase sales. Monyx Wallet is suitable for closed environments, like businesses or hospitals where payments are done via prepaid cards, which can be connected to Monyx Wallet, and for open environments, where anyone can pay, simply by downloading the free app.’

In other news, all Nayax devices can now accept AMEX payments. ‘We’re the only cashless provider that can offer AMEX payments in the UK’, says John.
Nayax will also be introducing its DOT QR Reader at Vendex, a new hardware product that can be utilised to offer free drinks and discounts via QR codes.
‘As I said, it’s really about getting together again with our customers’, John said, ‘Paul Morgan and I are really looking forward to it.’
